These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of simplyexac.ca and the related ExAC study tools (the "Service") operated by Simply ExAC ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
Simply ExAC is an independent, unofficial study tool. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Examination for Architects in Canada (ExAC), the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB), or any provincial architectural association. Our questions are written to mirror the format and topics of the official exam, not to reproduce its content.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. Each account is for a single user. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
Subscriptions and pricing
- Simply ExAC is sold as a subscription that covers all four ExAC sections: $299 per year on the annual plan, or $159 per month on the monthly plan. Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
- Applicable taxes are added at checkout and to each renewal. There are no other fees.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and we charge the payment method on file, until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
- We may change prices. A new price applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it takes effect.
Access period
You have access for as long as your subscription is active. If a renewal payment fails, access is paused until the payment goes through.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from the Manage plan page in your account. Cancelling stops future charges; your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
Refunds
Because access to the question bank is granted immediately on payment, payments already made are final and we do not offer refunds, including for part of a billing period. Please review the free sample questions before subscribing so you know what to expect.
Acceptable use
Your access is for your personal study only. You may not share, resell, sublicense, or distribute your login or the content, and you may not copy, scrape, reproduce, or republish any part of the Service. We may suspend or terminate access for misuse without refund.
Intellectual property
All content in the Service, including questions, explanations, study notes, text, and design, is owned by Simply ExAC and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the content for your own exam preparation during your access period.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" for study purposes only. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in passing the ExAC or any exam, and we make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of the content for any particular purpose. Always rely on official sources and current references for authoritative information.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simply ExAC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
